|
On January 13, 1870, Pozorrubio was formally
inaugurated as a “pueblo” or town. At
present, it is a second class municipality.
Pozorrubio belongs to the 5th
DISTRICT of Pangasinan. Approximately 50 kms.
south of Baguio City, 200 kms. north of
Manila, 30 kms. east of Dagupan City. The
municipality is accessible by all types of
transportation twenty-four hours through the
Manila north road leading to Baguio and
Laoag Cities. Predominantly an agricultural
town, 70% of the population is dependent on
crop production. Pozorrubio is also known
for her exportable handicrafts consisting of
rattan, buri, bamboo and metal crafts. |
